Yes, while a host may choose to decline a booking request, we require an explanation be provided to each guest.
Absolutely. We encourage hosts and guests to get to know each other before a stay is confirmed. We allow you to message each host directly from the listing page, or from the request to stay page. After chatting, you can request a stay or decide on an alternative option. You are never required to book after chatting with a host.
Both hosts and guests can request to modify the booking through the Crewdogs support chat. If the receiving party for the change agrees, the dates will be updated, and any additional charges required will be applied. Rates may change based on the change in dates, and the host always reserves the right to decline the modification after both sides have confirmed a stay.
We offer messaging on our website and our mobile application for questions. Many hosts also utilize email to follow up with other instructions. Lastly, your phone number is also released to the host as a last resort contact method. If communication is made outside of Crewdogs, we cannot guarantee guest and host protection.
