What began as a place for military members to share advice on where to live and why, is now a place to share homes, rooms, and spaces... even for free. One of our first hosts on Crewdogs, a Marine OEF Veteran, found a temporary home after exiting Active duty for free with a Vietnam veteran who he found on Craigslist. He now hosts on Crewdogs to pay it forward. This is why we exist, a community of Veterans, Retirees, family members and service members helping each other. Any member of the military community can create a free account on Crewdogs and host another member of the community with their place, for whatever purpose.

For those still in service, Crewdogs Official Government Travel can now offer rentals that are compliant with receipts, pricing, customer service, and safety precautions required for non-conventional lodging options. We offer the most streamlined option for short-term rental hosts to switch between vacation and government travel hosting.

We were built by and for the military community. Military personnel, veterans or retirees, and the family members that support them. We expanded our hosting base to the Patriots who love our military community to maximize booking options and increase charitable donations for the Veteran foundations we have partnered with.
When you support another member from the military community, you expect that money to stay in the community. As an all Veteran team at Crewdogs HQ, we've built that option into every stay. When you list a place on Crewdogs, you'll pick from one of the many Veteran foundations we've partnered with. Then, every guest and host can donate during the booking process, plus Crewdogs will donate towards these causes.
Donations may be used in two different ways:
First, we created a Travel Credit program where donations are transferred to a Crewdogs account to be used by the foundation to cover the costs of lodging. Fisher House Foundation, We Defy Foundation, and Veterans Expeditions are some of the foundations which utilize this program. So your next booking might come from the very foundation you choose to support!
Second, we established a Direct Transfer agreement with other foundations where every single donated dollar will be directly distributed for an initiative of the foundation's choosing.
No matter which foundation you chose to support with your hosting or traveling, at end of year you'll get a tax deduction plus see the impact of your generosity.
